The Barflies
These three sat at the bar across from our booth at a restaurant one day, and my husband said he had seen them there frequently. They were so animated, relaxed and happy in the late afternoon light that I sketched them and made note of the colors for this painting. They looked as if they had spent the day outdoors, and might have spent a lot of weekend days fishing, boating or just enjoying Oklahoma's fragrant outdoor air.
